The slow processes of evolution contrast with the rapid advance of globalisation under the neo liberal capitalist system.

Our attempts to control nature are more likely to result in our ( and others) extinction unless we evolve our thinking and practises and react FAST to correct the damage we are doing to our environment and challenge the "make hay while the sun shines" mentality of governments and corporations who don´t seem to care too much about the legacy they leave behind.
